CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – October 4, 2024 – LT Security Inc. (LTS), leader in video surveillance products and solutions, announced today their charitable support for “Your Kind of Cuts,” a barbershop for special needs children in Nutley, New Jersey. The support was part of a comprehensive renovation of the shop by George to the Rescue, “a human interest/home improvement program that specializes in helping people and communities through the power of renovation and design.” LTS delivered a video security camera system to provide modern, high-tech security for the local shop, and Fred Caracciola at Tag Security installed the equipment.

Billy the Barber, as he is known, runs a unique barbershop in Nutley, New Jersey. He and his staff specialize in serving children with various conditions such as autism. These conditions make haircuts a challenging experience for the clientele. The team at “Your Kind of Cuts” are well-trained to make the clients feel at ease throughout the whole process. Their facility had been in need of renovation for some time, and that is where the crew from George to the Rescue came in.

George Oliphant, the show’s creator, and his crew renovate homes and businesses for people who prioritize service to their communities. These renovations are made possible in large part by sponsors, and LTS joined the list for this episode. “We were thrilled to hear about the need and jumped at the opportunity to offer security equipment. Learning about what Billy the Barber offers to his community was very inspiring for all of us. We were just so glad to help out and give back to the community – especially for this project,” said Jane Liang, sales associate at the LTS New Jersey office. “We know the cameras and equipment will provide a critical layer of security for the barbershop.”

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – September 6, 2024 – LT Security Inc. (LTS) today announced the launch of its newest security video search tool for its Platinum line, “Direct Search.” Direct Search utilizes Platinum 8 MP cameras and select NVR models for this proprietary, AI-powered functionality designed with security installers and systems integrators in mind. Here, recorded footage tags persons- or vehicles-of-interest with key metadata to accelerate the process of locating them in recorded footage later. Not only is the search process much faster, but it is also vastly more accurate as well. Details on how it works follows.

Direct Search for security video
Platinum 8 MP cameras harness AI technology to extract features and attributes. Then, Platinum Cameras and NVRs use that metadata to locate a person using any combination of several different parameters – such as color of clothing, a hat or beard, handbag or backpack, gait, and eyeglasses for persons, and color, type, direction, and other parameters for vehicles.

The result is that security personnel can quickly locate and follow targets and their trajectories in critical areas, both in real time and after an event. But it is the rate at which the targets are located that is the most significant factor in Direct Search. A process that once took several hours now, quite literally, can be accomplished in seconds.

Real world examples
When a customer returns to find their car damaged in the parking lot, security staff can use Direct Search to go back in recorded footage, designate a line-crossing rule, for example, and then find video clips where a person or vehicle crossed that line to cause the damage. Within seconds, video clips will appear in the dashboard that include revealing footage.

Another example might occur when a child or perhaps an elderly person wanders off in a crowded place. A security guard can use given search parameters to find video clips of the caregiver; then, he or she can trace back through the footage to find that caregiver with the target (the lost child or elder) and determine when and where they wandered off.

These are just two of innumerable possible scenarios. Direct Search promises to be extremely helpful in such cases, especially when investigating allegations of a crime. Evidence needed for verification can be found quickly and precisely.

Privacy is protected here, too, as Direct Search does not use or require facial recognition to locate targets in footage. This design will open up more markets for Direct Search, as it both outperforms facial recognition and can be used in applications that prohibit face capture and recording in security video.

Direct Search is compatible with the new 86/87/89 D-N Series NVRs and most Platinum IP video security camera models after firmware upgrade.

Higher pixel count means higher performance
Pro-X 12 MP camera sensors come equipped with a host of both new and/or expanded capabilities over conventional and even 4K IP cameras, including:

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – August 23, 2024 – LT Security Inc. (LTS), leader in video surveillance products and solutions, announces its IP video security camera was featured in a recent Chicago-based TV news story. According to NBC Chicago News, an elderly homeowner became the victim of home repair scammers in the Chicago area in March of this year. When the woman – a former nun and now mother to an adopted special needs son – became wary of their scheme, she and a friend contacted local sheriffs. Law enforcement personnel used footage from the woman’s LTS IP video camera to positively identify the alleged criminals.

The victim tells NBC 5 that she was solicited at her home by two men who claimed to be contractors warning her of impending damage to her home, along with the promise to make repairs – as long as she paid several thousand dollars up front. Unfortunately, she was convinced at first to pay the alleged scammers a large sum of money. Nevertheless, the LTS camera clearly captured their faces as well as their vehicle’s license plate to assist the sheriff’s office in tracking down the two fraudsters. One of the men has since fled the country; the other has a warrant out for his arrest as of the time of this press release.

The camera in use at the home is the LTS Platinum 4 MP Color 24/7 Fixed Turret IP Camera, model # LTCMIP3C42W-MDA. This model features color imaging around-the-clock, using its bright, built-in supplemental light to capture vivid footage even in complete darkness. Sami Schwartz, LTS partner and installer at Total Power in Skokie, Illinois, says of the camera, “The nighttime color imaging on this camera is essential. Most of my installations are in rough areas and areas of total darkness, so the low-lux cameras don’t work for me; I need the 24/7 color. I install a lot of these cameras in my work.” Mr. Schwartz also went on to tell LTS that law enforcement personnel working on this case found the sharp imaging from the CMIP3C42W-MDA noteworthy. “The detective told the victim that this is the only camera that has clear enough footage to get the exact license plate” of the alleged perpetrators’ vehicle.

NBC 5 Chicago covered the full story and posted it on their YouTube channel. At 2:40 in the NBC video, the LTS camera can be clearly seen, installed in the eaves just outside the front door of the home.

(LTS), leader in video surveillance products and solutions, today launches its most advanced comprehensive cloud management solution to date: the LTS Platinum Partner. This online configuration tool is designed to significantly speed up new IP video security installations by sidestepping port forwarding and other costly and time-consuming setup procedures. Virtually all other basic installer tasks – batch configurations, activation, adding devices, and much more – will now be accomplished online instead of on-site, saving money, time, and effort.

A whole new approach
From the LTS website: “Platinum Partner is a mobile and web-based remote IP portal and configuration tool. No PC software is required to take full advantage of its extensive capabilities. All LTS Platinum IP video security products can be managed on this expansive, cloud-based platform. [Installers & systems integrators will] enjoy batch activation, configuration, and maintenance – all of that and more can be accomplished here, quickly and reliably.”

When it comes to new IP video security installations, one of the primary costs is the time and effort required in the port forwarding process; the same goes for resuming or reconfiguring existing systems. LTS seeks to make those difficulties a thing of the past by using the world wide web and simple, intuitive client interfaces. The next most costly element for installers is the on-site visits for simple maintenance, device registration, and other processes. But with Platinum Partner, installers can eliminate nearly all on-site visits for setup and configuration, and vastly reduce travel for maintenance.

Remote management – any time, from anywhere
Complete control of cameras, recorders, and other devices as well as VCAs and special functions can be accomplished using Platinum Partner. Security installers can also use the portal to quickly hand over devices to their end-user customers who have downloaded the LTS Connect mobile app. Basic portal functions are free to use, while fee-based, value-added services – including system health monitoring and others – will be added in the future. Platinum Partner aims to help security teams to “extend your services, expand your business, and reach new horizons…any time, from anywhere.”

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – August 12, 2024 – LT Security Inc. (LTS), leader in video surveillance products and solutions, this month announces additions to its best-selling “Platinum” product line. Two fisheye security cameras, a facial recognition terminal, and recording devices all extend the existing lineup. Additionally, new “Direct Search” technology complements these devices by giving security personnel upgraded video footage search capabilities in the client software.

Fisheye Cameras
“Fisheye” cameras are so called due to their hemispherical lens. Mounted on a ceiling, this camera type brings into focus a 360-degree picture that first appears rounded and distorted. “De-warping” software resolves the imaging to appear as normal on a monitor. The unique design creates a wide range of powerful capabilities unique to this type of camera. LTS adds two new models in this category: the CMIP7106F-SE and the CMIP7112F-SE. The CMIP7106F-SE features 6 MP recording (2560 × 2560 pixels @ 30 fps) and captures clear imaging in as little as 0.01 Lux @ f 2.25. The fixed, 1.16 mm lens captures a horizontal field-of-view at 180° and vertical at 180°. The CMIP7112F-SE takes imaging up to the next level, with 12 MP recording (3504 × 3504 pixels @ 30 fps) and operates at light levels down to 0.03 Lux @ f 2.2. The 1.29 mm lens matches its little brother’s FOV on both axes.

Both models also boast Infrared LED lights ranging up to 50 feet, a speaker and four built-in microphones for two-way communication, and two alarm channels in and out. Both feature built-in VCAs including motion, line crossing, and intrusion detections, along with people counting, queue management, and heat mapping, making these cameras multi-functional and significant value-adds in any system.

Face Recognition Terminal
The LTK3410MF Face Recognition Terminal employs a deep learning algorithm which recognizes faces quickly and accurately. It also supports multiple authentication modes, employing faces, cards, and combinations of the two. Users will enjoy the 4.3-inch touchscreen, 2 MP wide-angle dual-lens, and generous database capacities: 1,500 faces, 1,500 cards, and 150,000 events. With face recognition duration under 0.2 seconds and face recognition accuracy rates approximating 99%, these terminals will enhance security wherever they are utilized. Installation options include walls, stands, or other supports, and applications range across multiple scenarios such as residential buildings, office buildings, financial industries, and other critical security areas.

Digital Video Recorders
From the start, the Platinum 256-channel Enterprise-Level NVR (model # LTN07256-R16(L)) makes hard drive installation and maintenance simple with room for 16 hard drives at up to 10 TB each. The unique chassis is based on a patented design that is environmentally friendly with low noise output. Centralized management of IP cameras is also supported, including configuration, information import/export, real-time information display, two-way audio, and more. The Platinum 32-Channel TVI-P DVR (model # LTD8432M-ST(S)) boasts 1080p TVI encoding and four SATA HDD connectors for copious data storage. PoE Switches
LTS’s “Power-over-Ethernet” (PoE) Switches support security cameras installed at extended distances with up to 1 Gbps of stable data transmission and up to 90 Watts of power – with one cable. PoE switches easily scale up for system expansion without major infrastructure changes. The four models announced today also add value to IP security systems in a few important ways
